This bridge is a seven panel Parker through truss with riveted connections. It sits on concrete piers, and has a through plate girder approach span that also crosses PA-88 at one end and at the other there is a deck plate girder approach span. This bridge is located right at the mouth of Ten Mile Creek, where it empties into the Monongahela River. This abandoned section of rail line appears to be part of the old Monongahela Railroad line. The still-in-use Norfolk Southern owned line branches off of this one just north of this bridge, following Ten Mile Creek. As a result, this abandoned bridge should be considered historic as a contributing structure and feature of the historic rail line.
