This is a tiny concrete arch bridge. It originally had Pennsylvania's standard plan concrete balustrade railings, but unfortunately these were removed and replaced before the bridge was photographed. The bridge does retain a state standard bridge plaque.
Information and Findings From Pennsylvania's Historic Bridge InventoryDiscussion of Bridge The 1929, reinforced concrete, skewed, closed spandrel deck arch bridge has concrete balustrades and concrete wingwalls. The bridge is an example of a common type with no distinctive or innovative details. Reinforced concrete bridges have been used with great frequency since the early 20th century. Neither the bridge nor its setting and context are historically or technologically noteworthy. Discussion of Surrounding Area The bridge carries a 2 lane road with sidewalks over a stream in a sparsely developed, rural area with scattered 20th century residences. The area does not appear to be a potential historic district, due to the presence of noncontributing resources like the electrical substation in the northeast quadrant.
