Additional Information: The lower unused side of this bridge's piers and abutments was for another railroad that shared this crossing, the Philadelphia and Erie Railroad.
This bridge is an abandoned railroad bridge. Its superstructure is a traditionally composed deck plate girder. The substructure is concrete. The deck is also concrete, and pipe railings are found on one side of the deck. The bridge has an unusual spot in the abutments for an additional bridge structure. Similarly, the piers have unusual concrete piers next to the in-use piers. The unused piers are slightly shorter, for unknown reasons. Although structurally separate from and shorter than the in-use piers, the shorter piers visually look about the same age as the in-use piers. All concrete on this bridge is spalling severely.
