Information and Findings From Pennsylvania's Historic Bridge InventoryDiscussion of Bridge The single span, 60'-long reinforced concrete deck arch bridge built in 1929 is finished with plain concrete balustrades. The flared wingwalls are topped with paneled parapets, some of which have impact damage. The bridge is an example of what by 1920 was common technology. Neither it nor its setting are historically or technologically significant. Discussion of Surrounding Area The bridge carries a 2 lane road over a stream at a T intersection with SR 54. A storage and distribution facility (tank farm) is located beyond the northwest quadrant. An altered 19th century house is on the far side of SR 54. The area does not appear to be a rural historic district. Bridge Considered Historic By Survey: No |
