Bridge Documentation

This bridge is a rare example of an operable bascule bridge in the province. This single leaf plate girder bascule bridge dates to 1957. It was built by the Hamilton Bridge Company of Hamilton, Ontario, which by this time had become a division of the Bridge and Tank Company of Canada. Lengths given are extremely rough estimates.
