This concrete railroad viaduct is noted for its relatively old construction date of 1913. It retains good historic integrity. It is composed of multiple spans of concrete deck girder spans of varied lengths. The varied span lengths resulted in some differences in the girder depths. In 2009, the bridge was converted for use by pedestrians as part of a trail system. A nearby modern bridge on different alignment carries highway traffic on TN-155 today. That road is also shown on maps as White Bridge Pike, a reference to this historic bridge which originally carried that road.
