Bypassed by a new bridge and abandoned in 1996, this bridge is noted for its length and variety of span types. From west to east the bridge consists of through plate girder spans over railroad, stringer approach spans, rivet-connected Queenpost deck truss span, two main pin-connected Pennsylvania through truss spans, pin-connected Camelback through truss span, and lastly there were originally some rivet-connected Queenpost pony truss approach spans, but these have been demolished.
