Constructed in 1936, this bridge is an early surviving example of a highway over highway grade separation. The Inland Empire Way roadway, which passes under the bridge, features a paneled retaining wall on both sides of the roadway (on the eastern approach only) as it pass below the above roadway. The bridge is noted for its original decorative railing and lighting which remains on the bridge, as well as its aesthetically pleasing curved t-beam design.
