This truss bridge features eight panels. The bridge is seated on concrete abutments and steel caisson piers. There is v-lacing on the verticals and sway bracing. Floorbeams are American Standard Beam i-beams and all other members and chords are built-up, with the exception of the a-frame portal bracing and the original railings with are composed of angles.

Although a relatively late example of pin-connected technology, the structure is significant, as a complete example of its uncommon type and also because it was able to be dated and associated with a builder, due to the intact plaque on the bridge.

A number of the Fish Creek truss bridges have approach spans. On most, these are not original and are newer girder and floorbeam system spans. This bridge however retains the original approach spans, which are steel stringer spans.
