Bridge Documentation

View a detailed article about the previous bridge at this location.

For a single span, non-cantilevered truss bridge, this Parker truss span is extremely large. The bridge also features an extensive series of deck plate girder approach spans. Poor weather conditions prohibited any closer inspection of this structure. The previous bridge at this location was an extremely early example of a large-scale cantilever bridge, built ca. 1888.
