This large and impressive bridge is one of the only remaining examples of a rare K-truss bridge in the state. It features a long series of approach spans as well. The approach is curved as well. This bridge should get the highest preservation priority given its rare design. The bridge retains outstanding historic integrity, even elements that are not "character-defining" like the deck and expansion joints appear to be original. The lower portion of the portal bracing has some bolted repairs.
