This bridge is an example of what is believed to be a county-designed bridge displaying design details that would have been developed by the county. The bridge's railings are the most noticeable design details that are unlike those found in other Michigan counties (yet are found on more than one Delta County bridge), which suggests that the bridge was designed by the county, rather than adopting a state standard bridge plan. The railings on the bridge are pipe railings with concrete posts with minor aesthetic detailing. The ends of the bridge have curved concrete panels. The bridge originally had a plaque, which has been stolen from the bridge.
