This large deck truss bridge was widened by adding a very similar, but not identical, parallel set of trusses next to the original, producing a bridge with four truss lines total. A 1937 construction date is given, however a historical news article reveals that date refers to the widening of the bridge. The original half is very old for a bridge on a major highway with a 1916 construction date. The completion of the 1916 bridge eliminated dangerous curves on this road.
