Bridge Status: Slated for demolition and replacement!
This is an unusual curved bridge that includes a variety of span lengths and types. The main deck truss span goes over the Calapooya Creek, and the approach spans are concrete stringer spans. One of the spans goes over railroad tracks, and this span has a much longer span length (and thus much deeper beams) than the other approach spans. The piers for the railroad span are of a heavier, solid design, compared to the other approach spans which are supported by two column bents. This is likely to protect the bridge substructure from derailments.
