View Historic Bridge Inventory Sheet For This Bridge

This is one of the oldest stone arch bridges in the state, and associated with a noteworthy turnpike in Tennessee. The bridge retains good historic integrity of materials and design.

Signs at this bridge indicate that the road starting at the bridge is private property. It is believed that the road leading up to the bridge is public and the far end of the bridge itself is the end of the public roadway. The reason for this belief is because the bridge is listed in the National Bridge Inventory as a public bridge. Thus it is believed that the bridge is legal to visit and photograph, just do not cross the bridge onto the road beyond.
